In 2019, DSM N.V., the Dutch multinational corporation operating in health, nutrition and materials field has announced forming of joint venture with Nenter and Co. Inc. In 2020, BASF SE, the multinational German chemical corporation has announced sale of its manufacturing facility based in Kankakee, Illinois- United States. The sale also includes businesses of vegetable-oil-based raw material sterols and natural vitamin E, anionic surfactants and esters which are produced in the facility.
