What is Braking Resistors Market Scope?
The basic property of resistors is the consumption of enormous energy and the dissipation of the energy used in the form of heat. When braking a mechanical system, the system acts as a generator and creates a large amount of electrical energy that is transferred back into the circuit. This large amount of energy is consumed by the resistor that is present in a circuit. Resistance converts the energy used into heat and at the same time creates an immediate braking effect. Hence the resistor used in this process is called the braking resistor and the process is called dynamic braking. The purpose of a braking resistor is therefore to quickly stop or slow down the mechanical system by generating a braking torque. Braking resistors are designed with specifications such as resistance and average braking power. Braking resistors with lower ohmic values help motors stop faster and dissipate more heat. The braking resistors require less service and are more reliable. Braking resistors are therefore preferred to friction brakes in order to decelerate motors.

The Braking Resistors market study is being classified, by Application (Conveyors, Trolleys, Gantry Cranes, Hoists, Elevators and Others) and major geographies with country level break-up.

The companies are exploring the market by adopting expansions, investments, new service launches, and collaborations as their preferred strategies. The players are exploring new geographies through expansions and acquisitions across the globe to gain a competitive advantage through combined collaborations. Analysts at AMA predicts that Manufacturers from European and United States will contribute to the maximum growth of Global Braking Resistors market throughout the predicted period.

Rockwell Automation, Inc. (United States), ABB Ltd. (Switzerland), Schneider Electric S.E. (France), Eaton Corporation (Ireland), YASKAWA Electric Corporation (Japan), Cressall Resistors Limited (United Kingdom), Sandvik AB (Sweden), Danfoss A/S (Denmark), Toshiba International Corporation (United States), Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (United States), Transfab TMS (Canada), Danotherm Electric A/S (Denmark), Bonitron, Inc. (United States) and OMRON Corporation (Japan) are some of the key players profiled in the study.

Segmentation Analysis
Analyst at AMA have segmented the market study of Global Braking Resistors market by Type, Application and Region.

On the basis of geography, the market of Braking Resistors has been segmented into South America (Brazil, Argentina, Rest of South America), Asia Pacific (China, Japan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Rest of Asia-Pacific), Europe (Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Rest of Europe), MEA (Middle East, Africa), North America (United States, Canada, Mexico).

In 2019, Yaskawa Electric Corporation’s R1000 regenerative unit avoided energy to waste. Instead, it delivered it back to the power source that could be used by other loads. The R1000 regenerative unit proved to be a much safer solution for regeneration than the open heating element used in dynamic braking resistors. and In 2018, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. exhibited its latest resistors for oil and gas, industrial, traction, and renewable energy power systems at the 2018 IEEE PES T&D conference and expo.
