In Feb 2017, Tata Chemicals announced the completion of the acquisition of the Silica business from Allied Silica. On a slump sale basis, the Company entered into a Business Transfer Agreement with Allied Silica Limited to acquire their precipitated silica business for a consideration of up to 123 crores. This acquisition is part of an Rs. 295 crore investments in this specialty business approved by the Board in February 2017.

Not more than 1 percent insoluble substances. Not more than 50 parts per million dichloro dimethyl silane.”
