On 17th January 2022, Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited announced plans to establish a Greenfield Com Wet Milling Plant in Sitarganj, Uttaranchal, to manufacture starch, starch derivatives, and polyols such as sorbitol, maltitol, and mannitol. The plant's existing capacity for Unit I and Unit II is 750 TPD, and the company uses approximately 90 percent of that capacity. The proposed capacity increase of 1,000 TPD will bring the total capacity to 1,750 TPD.
