What is Neonatal Intensive Care Market Scope?
A neonatal intensive care unit is an intensive care unit (ICU) that specializes in caring for sick or premature babies. According to the World Health Organization, premature births are very high. It has been reported that an estimated 15 million premature babies are born each year and that number is increasing. Also, because these newborns have underdeveloped immune systems, they are more prone to chronic diseases and other diseases such as hospital-acquired infections. A newborn incubator is basically an enclosure in which an infant can be kept in a controlled environment for the purpose of observation and care. The device may also include a heater, a fan, a container for water for adding moisture, a control valve through which oxygen can be added, and access ports for care. It is used in premature babies or in some sick full-time babies for observation and treatment in a stabilized environment. It can also be used to assess and treat sick newborns. The newborn intensive care unit is also known as specialized kindergartens. The neonatal intensive care unit for premature babies is a major complication as it is a very sophisticated or advanced unit of healthcare professionals and specialists. All clinics or hospitals or main health centers in industrialized countries (PHC) have their own neonatal ward.
