Impervious Concrete Market Scope
Impervious concrete is also called “hydrophobic” or water-resistant concrete since it does not allow water to pass through. This type of high-density concrete has very low porosity, thus reducing the flow of water through it. It is used in places where impermeability is a requirement in order to protect the ground. Impervious concrete is made up of asphalt which is water-resistant. The preparation involves adding special admixtures to standard concrete at the ready-mix plant that reacts with the water, cement, and aggregate to create a water-repelling composition. This technology offers a simpler and potentially faster and cheaper solution to waterproofing concrete structures.
