In January 2023, together with SCG INTERNATIONAL INDIA PVT LTD, BigBloc Construction Limited (BCL), one of the leading manufacturers of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) blocks, bricks, and panels, was established. (SCG INTL INDIA), a subsidiary of Construction and Building Materials has acquired the joint venture of Siam Cement BigBloc Construction Technologies. The project has successfully acquired land in Gujarat, India, an area with high construction value and continued growth, to establish a plant to produce AAC blocks and panels to support a production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters projected in 2023. .
In December 2020, BigBloc Construction Limited, a leading player in the aerated concrete block space in India and the only publicly traded company in the sector achieved financial closure for expansion in Wada, Palghar District, Maharashtra. The company is installing a greenfield facility with an annual capacity of 5 lakh cubic meters for the AAC block of the space.
