Lychee honey is a light colored monofloral honey which is produced in the regions of Manakara and Mananjary, in the southeastern coastal part of the country. It consists of 70% lychee pollen and 30% other kind of pollen. Also, it has a very delicate flavor with a taste slightly reminiscent of roses. The lychee honey also crystallizes quickly and has thin granulation. The product can be included in diet as it is sweet in taste and contains rich vitamins and minerals.
