About Aircraft Struts
Aircraft Struts are piece of equipment that applies & control the force when aircraft touches ground after flight. Struts are most essential integral part of landing gear & of aircraft. They ensure safe landing of aircraft by avoiding rough landing which may cause serious damage to plane. Aircraft struts work by hydraulic or air pressure during landing. Aircraft struts use compressed air which is combined with hydraulic fluid. This combined pressure absorbs and disintegrate shock loads. It is comprises of two telescoping tubes which are closed on the external ends. The overall weight of landing gears i.e. of aircraft struts is impact on the fuel consumption. High weight of landing struts leads to high fuel consumption hence inclination towards light weight aircraft struts has been grown. Thus, aircraft struts manufacturers tends to produce lightweight dimensions to avoid excessive vibration amplitudes.
