On 1st Feb 2019, Seajoy Seafood Corporation, one of Latin America's leading producers of farmed shrimp, with operations in Honduras and Nicaragua, has been acquired by Cooke Inc. It will be able to add shrimp to its product line as a result of the acquisition. Seajoy is one of Latin America's largest vertically operated luxury shrimp farms, specializing in value-added and organic Pacific white shrimp.

According to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, “Each harvester must have a separate container for their catch, either in their possession or identified with their name. Maximum of two shrimp pots per person and no more than four shrimp pots per boat are allowed.”
